School-Aid is a registered charity that recycles British educational materials by placing goods with suitable partner schools and charities in Africa. We are currently looking for volunteers to help at our warehouse at Hammer and harp Farm in Hedgerley, just outside Beaconsfield, off Junction 2 of the M40. The Publicity/Events Assitant would assist the General Manager with producing publicity material to promote the work of School-Aid and developing contacts with the media, companies, schools, community organization and the general public.
Regular Tasks - Draft copy for newsletters, leaflets, website, publicity/marketing material; Research case studies/features for newsletters, leaflets, and website media. Periodic Tasks - Build relationships with local media to raise the profile of School-Aid activities; Assist the General Manager in developing publicity/marketing material to promote contacts with companies, schools, local organizations and the general public regarding sponsorship, funding events; Key Skills - Strong writing skills for print & web; Pervious experience in PR/Publicity/Events/Marketing; Ability to work on own initiative and without supervision |
